Lucy
Kinsella is a figurative sculptor whose work focuses mainly on
animals. She
works methodically, starting her research with small drawings
and maquettes which are then scaled up to larger 2 & 3
dimensional works. Lucy
uses wax over copper wire and these small waxes are then cast
into bronze editions.
The
work tends to capture a moment in time and expresses, with the
use of fluid lines, the personality and character of Lucy’s
subjects. ‘The
essential focus of my work is to capture the spirit of the
animals I study’. |
