After
travelling in Africa, India, Japan and Korea for ten years, I
arrived back in England in 1982 and converted a toll house
into a studio in Bath. Since then I have developed my thoughts and ideas using many
techniques and methods learnt on my travels.
By building up layers of textured clay combined with
burnishing and polishing surfaces, I try to achieve opposites
of rough and smooth. Recently
I have been working on large scale ceramic forms which I have
placed in the landscape. |
